Charlie's Pastries - Tamarac

This place is disappointing. The meat and vegetables are constantly fresh. They don't appear to be deep-fried, but rather have a beautifully dark golden crust. Everything is quite flavorful and affordable. Be sure to try the Veggie dish!

Date: 12/16/21 - Wow, I hadn't been here in several years, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the daughters are still running the place. There's a large shield on the door, and masks are required. Although I had to wait, it was clear that they know what they're doing and operate very efficiently. I ordered two mild chicken curry empanadas and two beef empanadas—had to get the beef! They were just as delicious as when their father was in charge, maybe even better.

I visit this restaurant every time I'm in town. I usually order the Veggie Patty along with a coconut bread and a soup drink.

Great food. I read reviews that said the quality went down. I don't agree after I pick up Pattys. The woman was super nice and helpful. She just wanted me to know she was just taking cash. I'm not sure if that's because the machine was down or that's it now. I appreciate good customer service and good food.

5 stars for my favorite Caribbean bakery,you get your bulla,your buns,your patties,snacks,drinks and my 2 favorites meat loaf and fruit cakes.love it there.its not a dine in just so you know.but pass through u won't be disappointed.
