Wow! Certainly an unexpected and wonderful experience in this beautiful little Pennsylvania coal town! Our location was at the historic Tamaqua railway station where we enjoyed a truly extraordinary lunch. The service was friendly and timely, even if the staff prepared for a dinner concert on the platform. The menu offered wonderful selection. We enjoyed the French onion soup, the crabs filled mushrooms and the salmon lures... all were excellent, hot and perfectly prepared. The Mango Cosmo cocktails were so refreshingly presented beautifully. We tried the desserts and all were delicious...while we later took home for an evening. The train station is located on the 81 route and a fast 6 miles drive to the city of Tamaqua. If possible, make it your mission to discover this hidden treasure!

I brought my parents here for dinner last night because my dad loves trains and I always loved how this place looked. If you want great atmosphere, delicious food, and staff that treats you like family...this is the place to go! This is the first time we have been here since the new owners took over. The restaurant was impeccably clean and the food was great. The dishes were large which made it a good deal for the money. What really made this experience amazing was the staff. The owners came out to talk to us to make sure everything was to our liking and they were so nice. They gave us big hugs when we left. My 16 year old daughter can't wait to go back! You get what you pay for, and this place is worth every cent! We will be back many times.

First time dining here. Overall, very good. The restaurant is beautiful. The owner, John, stopped by our table to chat, very friendly. Our server, Sarah, was wonderful, informative and very accomodating. The food was very tasty but I am sure it would have been even better had it been served HOT. Chicken Oscar at $28 served at room temperature as was the soup. How can you serve room temp soup? If I am ever in Tamaqua again, I will go back but I will also insist that my food be served hot.

First time visitors on Sunday and we picked a busy day…food and coffee both great and Renee our server was Fantastic!
