Just had absolutely the best pub steak meal since I've been home in NZ(3 years)..Up there with a very exclusive steak restaurant I've eaten at in Perth that is 3 times more expensive. 10/10..well done..beautiful steak,perfect chips and an actual proper salad with tomato,cucumber, onion,feta and lettuce with a nice dressing.

Punters has slowly become dissapointing, after 14 years of stopping in, I need to review. Owners/management have no sense of community, vague and depressing. Kitchen is always closed and they tell you with spite as if its offensive to order a meal. Shutting down light's and TAB when its busy and early. On multiple occasions the TAB has been shutdown mid bet. Owners/managers gambling while customers wait at the bar. If it wasnt the only pub in town they would go bust. 2 stars is for hope. I know covid has brought on hard times and stress for hospitality, but punters staff is not helping there situation.

Nice place to visit the locals are very nice and welcoming

They closed the bar early and weren't serving food. Toilets smelled.
