Their breads, like the purple sweet potato taro and cocoa banana bread, are dense because they don't use additives, but are best enjoyed with jam. They offer a variety of jams for sale as well. April and her brother were friendly hosts, and I'm happy I stopped by to support this small vegan establishment.
I have to say, this restaurant was a real lifesaver for us. We stocked up on some vegan bread (low sugar), peanut butter cookies, salt bread, and a banana cake. Everything was so fresh and delicious! After visiting Tainan, we drove down to Kenting and found that our bakery goodies really came in handy in a town that wasn't very vegan-friendly.
I tried some unique and interesting flavors at this restaurant. I sampled the crunchy Peanut Butter and Coriander cookies and the chewy Black Tea and Oats cookies. Both had a subtle sweetness that I enjoyed. Unfortunately, the apple pies were not available, but I presume they use seasonal ingredients. I tried a tasty sweet pumpkin spiced pie from the fridge. They also had a savory potato pie on offer. The cookies were 70-80NT for a bag of approximately 10 pieces, while the pies were 120NT. I found this to be a reasonable price for freshly baked products with distinctive flavors.
They make variety of bread and sweets such as pie and cookies. There are several mix cashew milk drinks too. Staff are very friendly. There's a small seating space at the entrance where you can relax and eat Updated from previous review on 2019-05-24
I love how they get out of here to support small farms. my personal Mulberry Piee was full of the tart berries, but the one that I had with him was that the cake crust was not the right texture. it was only a very thin layer of dough to keep the berries inside. the broth are very dense, including the purple sweet potato toro bread and the cocoa banana bread because they do not use klempner. but that means that they are better enjoyed with jam, of which they also sell many sorts. april and her older brother were hosting and I'm really glad I stopped to support this little vegan business.
