I recommend them if they have some flexibility with time. they needed a bed to supply the food. also every court was delivered after completion, so we had a court at a time that worked for us because we shared every teller. but if you go with a friend, you can't get your meal at the same time. but eating was delicious. so it was definitely worth waiting. as a vegan, this is my favorite restaurant taichung!
Went there on 422 earths day. Really recommended for its location environment and food! Spent whole afternoon with friends chatting and enjoying the meal
I got a the Sea Salt Caramel Moca birthday cake. The cake was delicious but customer service made me give 3 stars. (Which I think is lenient) I had my friend help me to place the order and I gave them a specific date of when I wanted the cake. (In Chinese) after checking and confirming they said the cake will be delivered on such date. So we placed the order. This cake was supposed to be a surprise cake for my partner. The cake came a few days earlier than asked for and my partner was the one who got the cake. Surprised ruined. Again, the cake was delicious but ruining the surprise was terrible especially when we had made it clear we wanted it by a certain day and they confirmed that it was okay BEFORE we placed the order. They even sent THREE confirmation emails that it would be delivered on the date we asked for. But came 3 days earlier. It was not a good move especially when the cake was expensive.
We were very excited to try this spot after reading all of the positive reviews and seeing the photos. Unfortunately it was a let down. The restaurant name and menu have changed from what is shown on reviews. There are no longer English descriptions on the menus, which is fine as we are in Taiwan, but there are also no pictures to show what the dishes look like and the descriptions are not clear. The shepherds pies are still on the menu but they were out at 6:45pm because they were out of potato We asked about a few other dishes pictured in reviews but were told those items were no longer available. And they were also out of a few other dishes on their new menu so we had limited options. We both ordered noodle dishes and they had minimal toppings. Flavor was OK but certainly didn’t live up to any of the hype described in previous reviews. Soup, drink, and dessert were pretty good but didn’t make up for the weak entree. Especially not at 400NT each. Servers were really nice but also tending to too many things around the cafe to provide service in a timely manner (and there was only one other table seated). Lastly, we noticed the person preparing the food was using their bare hands handling the noodles... probably not a good practice during a pandemic (or in general). I don’t like leaving poor reviews but the cafe was super cute and seems like they have a lot of potential. I really hope they are able to turn things around.
The vegetarian options at this restaurant are exceptional! They offer three main dishes: flatbread pizza, lasagna (with a unique twist), and baked rice with cheese. The flavors are lightly spicy, delicious, and not too heavy.
