I ordered the breakfast Flaked Chicken Adobo, thinking it would be shredded chicken, but it turned out to be fried shredded chicken skin and tiny pieces of chicken meat with a side of vinegar. This twist on a classic dish was not to my liking. Another issue was the lack of attention to detail, as my additional order of boneless chicken was missing.
Making a little fusion of what Filipino cuisine is like, this restaurant deserves a visit for specializing in such . This is my 5th visit but the first in this branch in Taguig. Staff although looking tired still try to flash their sincere smiles . Still attentive, they keep on refilling our glasses with water , But the reason we went there was for the food, the corned beef with sinigang , galunggong fish, chicken adobo in coconut milk , among my favorites. For those craving for local cuisine with a slight twist , then this is it.
This Filipino restaurant not only has a tastefully decorated interior and delicious food, but it also surpasses expectations with its creative and unique dishes. The familiar Leche Flan dessert is elevated with the addition of salted egg and queso de bola, while the ordinary sinigang is transformed into corned beef sinigang. The duck pancake and deep-fried quesong puti (local version of mozzarella) are also must-try dishes that showcase the restaurant's innovative approach to Filipino cuisine. The service is top-notch, with friendly staff and a courteous manager. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who appreciate good taste, a great ambiance, and unexpected twists on traditional Filipino dishes.
Unfortunately, this restaurant has recently closed. I noticed a sign saying that Bad Bird will be opening in its place soon. I really enjoyed their bangus, fruit platter, and pandesal with jam. The hot chocolate is definitely worth a try as well. You can still visit their other branches in Makati, but I will definitely miss their Serendra branch.
We came here as part of pre-wedding dinner, with a mixed group of locals and foreigners. Our hosts ordered the meal and it was outstanding. The pork was excellent, the fish was moist and tasty, the soup was a nice sour and a some spice. The service by the staff for our very large group was perfect, nothing seemed to be a problem for them. They welcomed us and fed us well. I would definitely come back to this restaurant if I am in the area again and I would want to explore more things on their menu.
