I like the games on the back because it looks like this place is set up when there are groups of friends. The staff was welcoming and the restaurant was clean from what I could see. The salad my friend had was huge. I like to try new things, but my way is always the BLT!! My egg in a sandwich was over boiled, but good. And I didn't like the grilled tomatoes. After the exception of tomatoes, the BLT was delicious? I think the Ranch dimmer was homemade, very gloomy as I like it. The little pommes were on the spot. Also ladies I think it is very nice to put tampons in the bathroom, for someone emergency!! Thank you.
Got pickup from here again today. Upon opening my food I was thinking they might redeem themself, but didn't end up that way. Got the double decker grilled cheese. Appears they didn't butter the outer sides of bread so it didn't get very toasty on the grill, which isn't a huge deal. Found a paper from the cheese in my sandwich. Was just a grilled cheese. Fries were still great. One thing I will say is everyone I interacted with was above and beyond kind. Makes me feel a little bad about my review, but I feel I need to be honest. I think some tweaks and more attention to detail could definitely change the game for this place!
Heather was really awesome and attentive. She made sure my friends and I had everything we needed without a long wait. The food could have been cooked a lil better/longer, but overall the wingz were pretty good. I know the music choice is up to the bar, but rock music all night when you have a wide variety of different cultures in your establishment really sucks. Not really much room to mingle, but still nice bar.
Love exploring the bar scene when I'm somewhere new! The Forum is apparently what used to be the cafe of a historic hotel in Tacoma, and the decor reflects it. The original bar and stained glass (apparently from early 1900s! was cool to look at, but i would def say menu and vibes wise The Forum is a bit more rowdy and sports bar-y. We only got drinks so can't speak to the quality of food here, but service were timely which was nice. They do all day happy hour on Sunday's!
The restaurant where we wanted to go had a long wait (during lunch hour), so we just looked around and we went to this restaurant and turned out to be really good. Since we are in the city centre, there are no private parking. Only one metered parking and if you are lucky, you can find a parking space. It looks like a bar from the classic movie. The antique/tavern decor tells the story of this restaurant. The food was good. From soup to salad to Mac and cheese. It was all delicious. I ordered the Mac and cheese with bacon. My Mac and cheese were on the spot because it was served hot and the bacon was still crispy. It was a big portion in my opinion can be for two people. My friend had a nice Cob salad and fried pimples. Now the fried pickles are recommended! It came with two different house sauces, you can't go wrong with it. We were crunchy in a time, so we asked a lot of our server and he honors all our requests. Our server was so polite! The food came at the same time as the review as we demanded. They also have no problem dividing the bill that is such a convenience for different parties! FYI: This is also a hotel. I have to say that location and vibe is timeless classic.
