Maria's Cocina Mexicana - Tacoma

I have been coming here since I was a little kid (about 30 years, before the name changed to Maria’s) and it is so so solid. I obviously have a sentimental attachment, but, truly, the food is delicious and super consistent, the service is attentive and prompt and the decor is charming as can be. My favorites are the enchiladas verdes and the carne asada.Many towns have this style of Mexican restaurant (family-oriented, sit-down, stucco and terracotta decor), but I love this one so much and I think they do it best.

I absolutely love the customer service here they are very respectful polite the food is amazing and they have really good drinks.

First, I love your restaurant and the great staff. I always order my favorite the Arroz Con Pollo about twice a month. On occasions, I'll order the street tacos. I came in the other night after taking the bus from work and ordered my Pollo to go. I only live walking minutes away. I thought the bag felt a little lite but didn't think anything about it. Got home and my dish was not as full as it usually is. There was not enough sauce, chicken and veggies.so it was really dry. I added some tomatoe sauce to it. I did eat it so I'm not looking for a refund. I will take a break from it for awhile. Restaurant food is expensive, but this dish has always been worth it.

This was the worst ever experiences ever...the bartender always had a attitude...but we always came back. Tonight we was weinformed we somehow didn't pay our bill...but the entire night we was treated very roodly even though we paid our bill . But we felt like not to leave a tip. Im sorry but all 3 of us thought so. We will never be back again. We got 86th told never come back again...she knows our faces...really we had no problem to pay it it was a misunderstanding. I will tell everyone about this place trust me i will never be back ever again.The bartender must think she id not responsible...horrible never ever been treated this way ever.
