Tabernash Tavern

Quiet little quaint spot that is rich with history and flavors. Whether you’re passing by or want a gray place in between winter park and Granby, don’t miss this place. Service was impeccable and everything recommended from food to wine pairings were delicious. Kid friendly and such a unique place in the middle of the mountains.

This restaurant is fantastic. We have been driving by it for years and just recently went for our anniversary. Food is top notch. High quality meats and ingredients. Service was excellent. We mixed up our reservations and they accommodated us despite being very busy. We had cocktails, charcuterie board, the steak special and chicken parm. All delicious. Looking forward to the next time we can eat there.

This restaurant is overrated. Our food and primary server were acceptable. About what we expected at the price point. However, toward the end of our meal but before we could order the desert we anticipated, a group of 4 adults and 4 children were seated near us. The children were unruly. Screeching and screaming. The adults ignored them. And the servers pretended nothing was happening. We told our waiter we were leaving before desert due to the noise. His response was “Sorry”. As we left, the manager asked us the usual. We told him we would not be back due to the noise level. He argued with us about the noise level and then asked if we were going to leave a negative review. When we replied we were he said that was “just mean”. There were several ways he could have salvaged the situation but chose to argue with us with no factual basis. Evening ruined. Waste of time and money. There are much better dining experiences in the area.

Everything that you could possibly want at a nice restaurants hidden in the mountains of Colorado. It's so cozy inside, with a friendly bartender and delicious french onion soup. Almost felt like I stepped back in time in here. Best paired with red wine or an old fashioned!
