Pavone's Pizza - Syracuse

The pizza was cold and looked like it was made yesterday. Feels like they gave us a pizza that was sitting out forever and threw our toppings on it and sent it instead of making us a fresh one. Won't be ordering again.

I ordered my pizza during a particularly busy time, and while I received an initial estimated delivery time via email, I quickly got another message letting me know it would take a bit longer, which I appreciated. Since I was already out, I decided to head to the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and explained that they had been overwhelmed with orders. I waited there for my pizza, which turned out to be very good—especially if you enjoy a crisp crust. The toppings tasted fresh, and the cheese was great. Overall, it’s a solid spot for pizza.

This is the best pizza in New York, and Gino creates some of the most amazing pies! Should I try the Philly cheesesteak pizza? It's absolutely incredible!

The pizza I had was disappointing. It was burnt on the bottom, had very few toppings, and was soggy, making for a really unpleasant eating experience. It used to be much better. I returned three times to see if it was just an off day, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. It’s frustrating because they are the only place that offers the thinnest crust, which is ideal for those of us trying to eat low-carb while still enjoying pizza. I believe they just need to pay better attention to how the pizza is cooked to prevent burning the bottom. Additionally, they should definitely add more toppings. For a large pizza, it only had about half a cup of each topping, leaving it feeling quite sparse.
