Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe stumbled upon this restaurant in Syracuse in search of the best Cuban sandwich in town. Despite never having tried Cuban food before, we decided to give it a shot. Syracuse is filled with countless Caribbean food options, but we settled on this place after some convincing. The Cuban sandwich lived up to its reputation, with a perfect balance of flavors. While I preferred another restaurant, my girlfriend loved this one just as much. The empanadas were a standout for me, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like no other. The maduros and plantains were a new experience, offering a unique blend of sweet and savory. The chicken stew was a hit, slow-cooked and tender, pairing well with the sandwiches. I even ordered it on a second visit, breaking my own rule of trying something new each time. However, the oxtail stew fell short for me, with too much bone and lackluster flavor. Despite this, the restaurant earns five stars for its authentic cuisine, amazing Cuban sandwich, and friendly owners. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu.
I visited a small restaurant in the Wescott neighborhood for lunch recently. It is a Caribbean restaurant where I tried their lunch special consisting of pork with yellow rice. The meal was quite tasty and reasonably priced. For dinner, I ordered a special with a soda (Tropicola) for under $10. While it may not be the best Caribbean food I've ever had, it was still quite good for the price. I plan on returning in the future.
Attention all delivery drivers: Beware of this restaurant. When I arrived for a delivery, the store door was locked and I had to wait outside for 5 minutes before someone finally opened it. My order wasn't even confirmed until I went inside, only to be told I would have to wait an additional 10 minutes. I will not be delivering from this restaurant again. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism before.
Wow. I will definitely be eating here again!! I ordered the oxtail stew and it was so good. The food was super fresh and basically melted in my mouth. I've never had oxtails before, but this was a great first experience. The rice and beans on the side were delicious as well. They know what they're doing!
I'm so happy I found this restaurant. I wanted authentic Cuban food for a reason. I went to a local Puerto Rican restaurant (won't mention name). It was OK at best. Decent food but dry and not nearly as flavorful and juicy as this place. So of course, I'll be coming here from now on. I got stewed chicken, yellow rice, black beans (yes black beans), and of course plátanos. YUMMY!
