Greenwood Winery Bistro - Syracuse

Greenwood Winery has become our 2nd home. Jamie, Heather and Derrick have made the experience Always MEMORABLE!!! They ate the epitome of GREAT PEOPLE AND BETTER FRIENDS!!!!! See ya in a couple days!!!

We have been to Greenwood many times before and enjoyed it which is why we have been gifted with vouchers and gift cards. Last night when my husband and I were there was quite possibly some of the worst service we have ever had. I am always very understanding in the service industry because I have been a party of it since I was in my teens, but there was no excuse for how poor the service was on a Wednesday afternoon. My husband and I were at the bar for almost 45 minutes before anyone asked us if we needed anything besides the drinks someone had gotten us- no one ever offered a food menu, ever. There was a large group of 10-12 people that were also there, no server EVER went to their table. They had to continue to go up to the bar for any kind of service. Instead of offering us food menus, bartenders and servers were congregating and complaining at the corner of the bar as they came to pick up drinks for their table. The bartender sighed, rolled his eyes and gave an attitude any time someone asked him for anything, as if he was annoyed with the presence of customers. Based on previous visits, we knew there was a happy hour deal but it was not listed on the menu. When we asked the bartender, his best response was “yeah, I think?”. After finally putting in our food order, he kept wandering off to the back. At one point, there was over 5 minutes where not a single bartender, server, hostess, ANYONE was on the floor to be seen. We didn’t even want to finish our meal; instead, we got a to go box to bring it somewhere else to eat. When we went to pay with our voucher, the bartenders response was “well I don’t know what this is”. He did eventually figure something out, what he actually did if he truly redeemed it I have no idea, but it will take a long time before we go back anyways. We are not complainers at all. We are writing this review in hopes that a manager or owner might see this and correct all the issues we saw yesterday. Greenwood use to be a place we enjoyed going, but after last night I can’t imagine people will continue to come with that kind of service and attitudes.

Entertainment is always good> great service and very good food! claire and steve are very good servers at the outdoor bar

Needs to be larger! Need more waitresses to serve your customers more effectively and efficiently in a timely manner

Great place to relax...have a drink...something yummy to eat...and great music every Friday nite !!!
