Chief's Pub and Eatery - Sylvan Lake

We went to this pub for a lunch before heading back home and found the restaurant mediocre. We sat out on the deck and enjoyed the sunshine. The server was accommodating to our group of 11 people. However, the service was slow when it came to food and drinks. The water was served in big plastic cups which felt cheap. The food was OK, but came in groups of 3, with two salads coming right at the end.

My son and I ate there this past weekend. It was busy on the patio but two gentlemen that were seated inside. The greeter was a very pleasant lady but our waitress was terrible. She never asked once if we needed a refill on our drinks nor did she come to ask how our meal was. From the time we ordered our dinner to the time we received it was 1 hour and 45 mins. Service was brutal and the food was nasty. My son and I ended going next door to subway. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I've been to Chief's a few times over the years and have never had a bad experience. Unfortunately this last visit changed that. It wasn't very busy and it still managed disappoint.The service was mediocre, the serving staff hid inside talking to each other and payed little attention to the patrons. The girl we had was nice but just hard to find when we needed something. I ordered the fish and chips, it was okay but lacked flavour. The same with the chicken fingers my friend ordered. My other friend ordered the veggie burger and said it was good until about halfway through her meal noticed that the tomato had moulded though. Once we were able to track down a server they did apologize and took it off our bill. But really makes you wonder how old everything else is that they're serving. Probably won't return.

Had some really good supper with my girlfriend the other day! We shared a couple appies and then got one of the specials. I recommend going there for a few drinks, but even more so with the new menu! They are improving every time I come in! I'd say it is a must stop place for a good time with either friends or family while you soak up the sun and grab some grub and drinks. Can't wait to go back!

Had a wonderful lunch. Service was quick, even on the busy patio. Fish & Chips was a large portion, had I known I wouldn't have ordered the extra piece. Our waitress was very friendly. Chicken Ceaser wrap was over stuffed with everything, which isn't a bad thing.
