Vicolo - Sydney

Went in for a quick lunch, guest had octopus salad which he enjoyed. I ordered gnocchi without Ragout. Upon paying the bill was informed that the gnocchi was $25 no reduction for not having full fish. This was not pointed out at time of ordering. When I pointed this out was told it is what it is and you have to pay. As far as I am concerned it’s not the cost but the principal is terrible

Excellent food, healthy choices, good specials, prompt service and very reasonably priced. Good place for lunch and not overly packed when we were there.

Scrambled eggs were superb. Service was fast and friendly. I’ll be back. The only downside was the tea was a little weak. Needs to be loose leaf, not a tea bag.

We visited here for breakfast and we were not disappointed. We had the Avocado Chilli Toast with Poached Eggs and Bacon. Wow, tasty and filling and not bad value for the CBD. Atmosphere was good, although you felt like you had to shout because it was noisy. Decor was cool, urban chic, as were the clientele. Staff were friendly and efficient and service was quick. Overall a good option for breakfast or a quick snack.

Due to the good reviews close proximity to our hotel, we decided to eat here on our arrival in Sydney. We weren't disappointed as both the food and service were excellent. We were warmly greeted by Emilio ? who ensured we all the regulars! were well looked after. The place is inviting love those beautiful old bricks! obviously well patronized by those that work nearby, which is testament to it's good food friendly staff.
