Przekaż informację zwrotnąEarlier this week, Mr. A and I took a break from our busy lives and enjoyed dinner at my favorite restaurant in Sydney, Signorelli Gastronomia. This authentic Italian trattoria and deli is operated and staffed by Italians who are experts in food and drink. The restaurant features a deli, cheese room, and separate rooms for white and red wine (see photos below the food). They even offer cooking classes.
We ordered a stone-fired Prosciutto pizza with truffle oil. The base was crispy and had a strong truffle aroma, making it delicious even for my friend who normally doesn't like pizza. We also tried the Oct Sugar Rush dessert, which was one of the most beautiful desserts I have ever seen.
Even though the university is busy, especially with finals approaching, I was happy to go out and enjoy dessert with my annual dessert group. The restaurant is now called #sugarruch instead of #letsdodessert. I personally prefer the old name. Unfortunately, this year not many desserts caught my eye, and most of them contained chocolate, which I try to avoid in desserts. Additionally, there were too many desserts with nuts in them.
Pleasant but definitely not perfect. 3 of our party ordered the special, expecting meal as described. Completely different meal arrived. Profuse apologies... blamed the chef...no free wine or anything else as compensation..Then rubbed out the specials board. No parmesan as per menu...needed to remind about this too...Nice but not what was ordered... Not sure we'll return...
Visited for a hen's party a table of 30 no easy feat. We had one of the set menus for $70 a head. The food was plenty and amazing. So much food! Antipasto platters with fresh sliced meats and cheeses, most amazing calamari, a sausage pasta I'm still thinking about, various pizzas, chicken and meat dishes, sides and breads and omg so much food. True Italian feast that has been wanting to go back...
