Hero Sushi Express - Gateway - Sydney

Mediocre sushi, mediocre service, mediocre atmosphere, uncomfortable seats. Why did we think this was a good idea??

The Gateway Food Court is just across the road from Circular Quays. It feels far away from the maddening crowd.I bought a 10 dollar salmon sushi selection and discovered a quiet garden just outside on Loftus Street across from the Custom House.Great for a few minutes of respite on a very busy and pleasantly warm Sunday lunchtime.

I have eaten here quite a few times for a quick lunch. I go for a salmon sushi box for $10, this is generally good though I noticed the amount of sushi seems to be getting smaller. Other times I have bought a chicken teriyaki roll and a salmon avocado roll. Sometimes the salmon rolls are not that nice.a bit inconsistent. I like the wasabi and soy with the salmon. Sometimes hard to get a seat in the food court if there are a few of you but not that bad if by yourself. Yes I would go back, but would check the boxed selection and probably stick to chicken teriyaki rolls only.

This could be one of my favourite sushi places because it's fast and fresh and not so expensive. I really love the grilled pieces with spicy mayo. I take about 4-5 of those and I'm done for lunch because the pieces are pretty big. There was always a line when I went for lunch, but it moves very fast. If you like sushi, try this place. It's really good.

He said to give it 100 stars. He was really disappointed on Sunday when they ran out of sushi when we got there at 4. It was fresh and the prices good.
