City RSL - Sydney

Barman, very friendly and helpful for our group of Waitress took all orders with no notes and very friendly too. Meals were large, served very hot. Tasted good. Very good value for money and on top of that off for Chinese New Year!

Its just a depressing room flooded with pokies. Nowhere to sit, no bar stools, no tables, just a sea of seats in front of a sea of poker machines. Anything on the other level (restaurant, etc) are closed after which is very odd. Terrible...vibe and its alarming that it is allowed to be regarded as the City of Sydney RSL' let alone ANY kind of RSL.

The so called Asian Restaurant meal and service left a lot to be desired of. It was not busy with a total of a round people having a meal, the bar staff where good as it was happy hour. The waiter and table service...employees, where very very slow to even bring a menu to our table, a good array of Asian cuisine was available. We chose vegetable spring rolls arrived hot dipping sauce was straight out of a bottle from a supermarket. The wait time for our mains three very simple meals was excessive, chicken with cashews,chives with pork dumplings and special fried rice. The cashews where not even cooked, the rice was barely even warm. Overall very disappointed, would never return.

Dropped in on Saturday afternoon for a couple of beers. Whilst the beer was cold and reasonably priced, that was about it. Bar is located on first floor which is just a bar with poker machines and stuff. No tables and stools that I saw....Smoker room even has poker machines in it. Not a recommended place if your looking for a cold beer.
