The Red Diner - Sydney

Went there for a wedding dinner. one of our guests steak was over cooked, the wait staff wasn't very helpful, there were fruit flies flying around everywhere! I would never eat there again.

We stopped in around 6 pm. on a Tuesday evening. Nobody was seated in the entire restaurant so we were concerned that perhaps they weren't open. But they were and seated us at the window overlooking the channel. They have a limited selection at the bar. However, the food was very good. I had the side Caesar salad then the seafood chowder, which was filled with haddock, lobster, shrimp, scallops, bacon, potatoes, carrots, and onion in a wonderful cream broth. My wife had a ham and veggie quiche with a side salad that she really enjoyed. The service was...eclectic.

I had the best steak dinner there, it was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were great and the vegies were fresh.

Gorgeous restaurant- Great staff - Awesome food and SUPER prices. I ordered a lemon marinated chicken breast wrap with cranberries, apples , walnuts , lettice , loads of cheddar cheese and dripping with maple dressing.....It was amazing ! I have to go back !

The chef cooked haddock very well and fries were with skins, crispy and slightly salted. Good selection of vegetables with this. Limited choice on menu but if this is what keeps the dishes well cooked that's fine by me. Service was a mixed bag - one attentive and couldn't be better, one terrible and ignored us when we tried to pay, third one was fine. Would not have chosen here unless staying in hotel but it was probably the best fish I have eaten in two weeks on the island.
