Flavor on the Water - Sydney

Really nice restaurant food, but in a really strange environment. The tables feel like sitting in a cafeteria, but the food is fantastic. We had the special that was smoked with blueberry. We feel like for the price of food we should have more vegetables at least. I understand his presentation, but I was hungry two hours later.

Fantastic view from the terrace. Our waitress Jacky was amazing. The food was good, but my plate was warmer. Martini was super delicious. Overall was a good experience, but something pricy probably due to the location.

I had a pleasant culinary experience here, but unfortunately I had a case of food poisoning that fell my rating on 1 star. The server was nice and helped my table decide our orders. The food was also very nice (except food poisoning); I ordered the chowder and the shells. We suspect that it was the shells that might have caused a problem because others ordered the chowder on my table and they were all right. The view at this point is pleasant, although not recommended to see the sunset, as the angle of the restaurant does not allow it for indoor dining. Overall, it was a good experience, but getting sick was very regrettable. I warn others when they decide to try the shells, although I hope nobody else gets sick.

I had an absolutely fantastic creamy seafood cahowder, a solid chicken sandwich with delicious French frits and a very delicious blueberry cake with strudel topping for the desert. They also have some tables with beautiful views of the port.

This place has a very high rating, but maybe just when compared to other places around Sydney. In real life, for us, it was a very mediocre place. Let's start with benefits available close parking, nice atmosphere with a view, and super friendly and professional staff. However, the food is not as good. The lobster was good, but the ribs were boiled I guess and then smothered in bbq sauce before they were served. The burgers were also just fine, nothing extra ordinary. Maybe you can come here to enjoy a drink, but not for a bigger meal in my opinion.
