Auberge Gisele's Country Restaurant

I was looking forward to eating here. Beautiful building with a nice view from the deck. We went inside and were told that we would have to wait ten minutes for a server. I can appreciate that keeping staff in a place that only booms for a few months might be hard to do. But to watch employees or even a manager sit behind the bar without being offered a glass of water was a turn-off. Couple that with a menu that did not feature sea food dishes we walked out feeling unwelcome. Read my other reviews-I am a generous reviewer. The two reflects that another visit might be different.

During our stay at the Inn, we decided to try their breakfast for $12.95 even though it was not included. The buffet had limited options, but there was a good variety of fresh cut fruits. They offered typical breakfast items like sausages, scrambled eggs, and potatoes. However, there wasn't much in terms of fresh baked goods. The servers were friendly, polite, and attentive, making sure our coffee was refilled. Despite the reasonable price, the lackluster food selection, preparation, and taste did not make it worth dining at the Inn for breakfast.

I found this restaurant on a hotel website where I accumulate rewards. The price was great and the photos looked good, so I booked a three-night stay. Upon arrival, the property looked nice with various buildings and clear signage. Check-in was smooth, although I wasn't given the WiFi password until the next day when I found it on the phone in my room. Parking was a bit far in the back lot, as closer parking was full. The room had a comfortable bed with nice pillows and a duvet, with some modern touches but also some dated aspects like red tiles in the entryway and an outdated bathroom. Despite not being as nice as the online photos, the room was clean and comfortable. The view of the ocean from my room was nice, and the noise level was low. The complimentary continental breakfast had a buffet with hard boiled eggs, fruit, muffins, and breads, along with delicious coffee. The staff were friendly and the dining room had nice decor. I haven't dined in the restaurant yet, but overall I would recommend it.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable, even had an extra sink. Coffee was available in the room. We were delighted to have a view of the lake.

Restaurant has a decidedly up scale look about. Friendly attentive service, Ordered Steak which was quite adequate but nothing special. Wasn't my kind of coffee but all in all it was OK.
