Dublin Airport Terminal 2 - Swords

Upon arriving with Aer Lingus Regional in an ATR aircraft, I found myself stranded far from any convenient location. The ATR aircraft was not equipped with an ambulift, so I had to awkwardly make my way down the steps on my bottom, which was a less than dignified experience. A minibus eventually transported me and my wheelchair to the arrivals gate, and the rest of my journey through the airport went smoothly and without incident until I reached the taxis. Despite my small folding power wheelchair being no larger than a 30kg suitcase, two taxi drivers in a row refused to accommodate me. The taxi marshal on duty did nothing to intervene, leaving me to face a disappointing lack of equal access.

There is a good range of restaurants and shops, and the overall organization is well done. However, the quality of the food is uncertain, and some of the security staff could use some improvement in their manners.

Having lived in Europe since 2022, as an American, my cravings for Mexican food have been constant. Don Taco's tacos finally satisfied my longing in a way that reminded me of my time in Southern California. The menu's simplicity and the garnish of onion and cilantro on every dish promised deliciousness. The red and green salsas were outstanding, and even my 5-year-old, who loves guacamole, gave it two thumbs up. We also indulged in birria chips, crunchy tacos, and a stuffed quesadilla, all of which were top-notch. Despite ordering delivery, the food arrived promptly and in perfect condition. It was truly the best delivery experience we could have asked for. Thank you, Don Taco!

The food choices at this restaurant are terrible. The establishment is very disorganized. Orders must be placed online. I waited a long time to ask a question, only to realize they had closed without informing anyone as they switched from breakfast to lunch. The only other option was fast food, which was even worse after passing through US customs. The food at the one restaurant was terrible. Takeaway is not an option and there is often a wait for a table.

Oh, hello and welcome to heaven! The food here is superb. You can grab a meal and sit at the bar with a drink. This place is a must-visit, so stop what you're doing and head to Don Taco!
