The Lydiard Beefeater - Swindon

We have used this beefeater several times when they stay in the premier inn next to it and as before it found it extremely busy and loud. Our fish and chips were served quickly and we had excellent friendly attention from tasha. the fish was pretty good, but. the pommes were dry and chewing....the tasty chips would have been better?! the noise level rose so much we decided to go back to our room for tee and coffee...where we could at least talk and be heard!

Had an evening meal here and all the staff were very helpful and the food was great. We will be back

Arrived just after 10AM, around only 9-10 tables in so not very busy at all, order taken and of we go to help ourselves to the unlimited continental... limited should be the word, absolutely no pastries whatsoever and all 3 baskets just left, only 3...slices of white bread remaining so opted for toast... with abolutely no idea which toaster was on high or low and unable to see the temp gauge, risked it with one and ended up with cremated toast... 45-50 minute wait for the cooked items, hashbrowns, tomatoes, mushrooms absolutely STONE COLD, how does this happen? I could understand the delay in service or refilling if it was extremely busy but it was not even close to half full, the fact my partner only ordered a very small amount of cooked items as she prefers continental then to find out there is none and they have no more to restock with is very very poor, have eaten at quite a few of these types of places and this is by far the WORST, usually very good and always happy but would never return here. To pay full price when you are only offering a half service is a joke. my advice would be to check before sitting down next time.

Visited you restaurant whilst on business and totally satisfied with the food quality and attentive service from my waitress Tasha. She made the experience very memorable with excellent customer service skills and made the whole experience a night to remember. Will be back in May....Thank you Tasha!

Took 45 minutes to get a drink let alone the food and they weren’t exactly busy! Very disappointing as 22 of us looking forward to a good social night
