The Garden Shack - Swellendam

Let me start by saying that my husband is not a seafood fan, yet he absolutely loved the mussels here! I was truly impressed by the restaurant's ambiance and the kindness of the staff; our glasses were never empty for even a moment! This is the true meaning of attentiveness! Our waiter mentioned that there is only one chef in the kitchen, which means there might be a bit of a wait, but trust me, it’s WELL WORTH IT! Chef, please don't lose your passion for cooking—you're a star in the making! My husband and I will definitely be back on a monthly basis!

We enjoyed the seafood paella. Absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed. The service was attentive and friendly. Thanks to Des, Sid, Blessing and Sharon. Your restaurant is a “must” for us each time we return to beautiful Swellendam. mk

Best Hake and Calamary and Chips. So fresh, tasty, crispy chips, home made chilly sauce... Fireplace warmed us up nicely. Arty place and decorations is fun... Geraldine looked after us well and Blessing's cheff skills is recommendable. Thanks Ladies.

Raining outside..... but warm and toasty inside! Such a great experience!! Lovely people, fab Hake Curry and Chowder. Log fire and great lay back sounds all adds up to a REALLY nice evening. Sid the waiter did a brilliant job making sure we were looked after 10/10
