Poorly prepared and the stewed tomatoes were not good, more like tomato paste. The toast was smushed with an oily yellow margarine or some sort of orange coloured oil making it seem like it was wet. No nice bread options at all. The coffee was dreadful, like washing up water plus no cream for coffee. There is a much better cafe across the way from Annies, I recommend it.
I ordered the smaller breakfast option and a coffee, which cost £5.80. The small breakfast included one cheap fried frozen sausage, one bacon rasher, a small portion of canned tomatoes, one fried egg, one hash brown, a tablespoon of beans, one slice of toast, and a quarter slice of fried bread. I ate it because I was hungry. While waiting for my food, I read previous reviews and saw the owner give incorrect change to a customer. When confronted, the owner apologized and said it was a mistake. The restaurant is somewhat clean and has a local clientele. The tables have fabric office chairs, which may get worn out soon. There is another food business across the street that I will try next time instead.
Yesterday, we visited this restaurant for a late breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast, which came with free range egg, mushrooms, hash brown, veggie sausage, fried bread, tinned tomato, and toast. It was a good deal for only £4.50. My partner ordered the regular breakfast and was able to swap some items. We enjoyed our meals and finished everything. The coffee was not to my liking, but my partner said the tea was fine. Overall, it was an affordable and pleasant dining experience with a nice view.
Always stop here when on a bike ride There are seats outside with marina views or you can sit in the cafe It's a caf rather than a cafe I'd say but the food is good, wholesome and unfancy
I felt like I was completely taken advantage of during my visit to this cafe for lunch. We ordered 5 meals and were surprised to find out that they only accepted cash. The bill came to £28 and when we paid with two twenty pound notes, we were only given £2 in change. When I questioned this, the waitress was very dismissive and argumentative, refusing to check the till. Eventually, the man working agreed to check the till, but returned after only 20 seconds to insist that we were wrong, even though it was clear he had not actually checked. The rude service ruined our weekend trip to Swansea, and I would not go back to this establishment.
