Vickie's Swansea Chinese

I heard people rave about their General Tso's Chicken and Crab Rangoon, so I decided to give them a try this Christmas Eve since I haven't found a good Chinese restaurant yet. I waited about half an hour for my dinner, but it was well worth it! The food was fresh and delicious! I also sampled the Chicken Pad Thai and Mango Chicken, which my family absolutely loved. I’ll definitely be going back!

The Crab Rangoon is fantastic, along with the General Tso's Chicken and Sesame Chicken. The egg rolls are also excellent; they're light but filled with just the right amount of tender reddish meat (possibly pork?) combined with all the other ingredients that make for a perfect egg roll. In my new neighborhood, I’ve only come across celery rolls masquerading as egg rolls—yuck! Overall, everything I've tried here has been cooked to perfection, never overcooked or tough. The meals feel lighter yet are very satisfying at the same time. I just love it! Vickie, the owner, is usually there every time I visit, even though it's been 10 years since they were known as Ping's. She is so sweet; once, after I ordered a large family meal, she gave me a card for a free Crab Rangoon on my next visit (which I had never tried before). That’s how my addiction to this place began!

This was our first time at Vickie's, and it came highly recommended by several locals. I was hoping for more than just a fast-food vibe, but overall, we had a great experience. The Chow Mein was excellent, and the roasted beef rice was delicious. The service was good, and the staff were friendly. I definitely recommend this place!
