Okie Dokies Smokehouse - Swannanoa

Hard spot! Got a VA terminal nearby and came here earlier today. Had the larger plate and everything was excellent and accurate. I'll come back. The meat was great and the sauces were bomb! Very recommended!

This is the second place where we tried this trip. It was the best! Okie Dokie s is located at 2375 US Hwy 70 in Swannanona, N.C. at I-40 Exit 59. Don't remember trying somewhere else, that's the point. We were recommended by Hoss of the nearby Harley Davidson Dealership. As my friend says, you want to know where to eat that bikers are looking for! We split a full rack of ribs that came dry rubbed with black eye bears, frits, chopped brisket with chips, Coleslaw and Jalapeno Hush puppies with ranch dressing for diving. Delicious! It's in or on the covered deck. No matter what you have to pay in the window for your order.

Used to be a great BBQ restaurant unfortunately no longer. Husband and I were eating there yesterday. Order Smokehouse plates with beef due to food sensitivity to pigs. We were both served pork and spent all night and now most of the day sick. We now believe that we cannot trust the staff to serve us what we order so that we do not eat there again. It would not be a big deal if this was just a food preference, but pork makes us both sick. This is a safety problem for us and everyone else with food allergies/sensitivity.

Quick food now, order and pay outside before they let you in! Even McDonald lets you in. Get the pleasure to eat with people who need a beer, hear rock music, throw your own garbage, forget your own spices, refill, etc. I mentioned before you taste your food, they ask for a tip! I could do this, but not the beer, or the music! No place for a real Christian or even a nice family. So long

This was my first time going to Okie Dokies and it didn't disappoint. I had a toddler on my hip and I was impressed that the staff poured my self-service drink for me and collected self-service condiments, cutlery, and napkins for us. They told me to go have a seat and they brought everything else to me. They went above and beyond service to accommodate my son and me.
