Good fully licensed place for some Chinese. Ordered the scallops for entree to be a little disappointed that they were out of a box and not fresh. The main made up for that being good authentic Chinese and a substantial size.
We've eaten here on a few occasions and have been happy with the food and service. Can be busy at times so encourage you to book.
I came here with a friend recently for dinner. Upon entry I felt that the waitress was under pressure serving the existing tables and take away. After a short wait she did come over and serve us but it had a hurried manner. (Not her fault as there was no other staff visible, and it was busy.) Whilst I was choosing what to order I asked for some table water, as it can get reasonably warm in Swan Hill! This was returned promptly but was straight from the tap and not very cold. Ideally the water would be chilled potentially with some ice, which I think is a reasonable expectation from a restaurant. The food seemed pricey based on other Chinese restaurants I have frequented, but I'm always happy to pay for quality and a good experience. However, when rice is $5.50 for a small serve on top of $20 for a standard meat dish I expect high things. The food itself was ok, with tender meat. There was also quite a varied selection of drinks, with some local wine on the menu. Serving local wine is a big plus in my mind. However, moving onto the visual experience. I hate eating at places where there is paper protecting the table cloths. (Sure I have had breaky at quite a few country motels that do this no worries.) However, for a dinner restaurant I find it tacky. It was nice that the napkins were folded in a Chinese style, but these were also cheap paper ones. Again, I don't mind eating with paper napkins but when they are the centrepiece it's another story. When the experience is as above you feel cheated by paying extra to eat in rather than takeaway. As a result I wouldn't recommend eating in.
Came here for a quick eat in meal with my partner. Restaurant was quiet so we opted to eat in rather than take-away. Was slightly dissapointed with the price difference between eat in and take away, but service was good. Meals were delivered quickly and were hot, tasty and plentiful. Would recommend!
