The Snipe - Sutton in Ashfield

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing! It's definitely a great spot, and I would go back. The only downside is that the building looks a bit worn and could use some improvements both inside and out. However, it's perfect for a quick beer or lunch, with easy access to main roads and plenty of parking. I would rate it 9/10!

I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, and the food was amazing! The personal welcome from the staff was friendly and made my experience even better. I enjoyed a non-alcoholic gin and slim tonic with my steak, which was a great choice. Overall, it was a memorable visit!

We were pleasantly surprised to find that the layout has been updated. The doors now separate the dining area from the main pub, making it a much more enjoyable space where we could eat and chat without competing with loud music and boisterous groups. We were attended to by Tracy, who was amazing and incredibly attentive to our needs. Our food arrived at just the right time, allowing us to enjoy our drinks and have a chat before it came out. The menu was impressive, offering a wide variety of choices. We’ve been to other pubs around the same time (8 PM) and found many items missing from the menu, but here, we had plenty to choose from. The quantity and quality of the food were fantastic. So many places have raised their prices while reducing portion sizes and quality, but at Snipe, they offer generous portions at reasonable prices. It was more than enough for most of us. We will definitely be returning. Please extend our thanks to Tracy for the wonderful service she provided to our family!

I celebrated my partner's birthday at this restaurant, and it was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. They also offered a great selection of cocktails that my friend enjoyed, but be sure to ask the bar staff for the options available, as they aren’t listed on the menu. I had the steak, and it was divine. They even served non-alcoholic prosecco and gin and tonic, which was a delightful treat since I don’t drink alcohol. I highly recommend this place for non-drinkers as well; it’s a first-class venue with a lovely ambiance that isn’t too loud. Enjoy!

You really can't go wrong with this restaurant for a great meal. They offer a wide variety of hearty options at very reasonable prices. The staff has always been friendly, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming.
