Yakiniku Gen - Surry Hills

I came here on my own for lunch. It was very quiet, hardly anyone dining. I liked it that way. I had the music channel to keep me entertained. I had the chicken katsu combo and I didn't leave a single scrap behind. The taste and serving was spot on and for $10 I was impressed.

Have walked past this place countless times and decided to finally give it a go. Perfect take away menu, tasty, generous portions and a variety of combo options. Great value for money :

This restaurant is underrated. I decided to try it out on a whim and I loved it! The special menu combo offers incredible value and every dish was delicious. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was great. What more could you ask for?

We've come here almost every week for two years. The service is always great, the quality high, and we think there isn't a better food value in Sydney. The only thing surprising is that it doesn't have more regulars, because they deserve to have them lined out the door.
