I liked how it wasn't drunk in beats and sauces like some places. the wagyu aburi had a nice taste, but I found it a little chewing and difficult, by the other choices were too strongly sown, although beautiful enough below we came on the afternoon and no edamame at all available. my green tea was served with the tea bag still in the cup, which is a little cheap looking.
I try this new sushi train as I work close to, very excited for a new sushi place (I get the Japanese takeaway in the centennial Plaza Zone.) I was very disappointed by the restaurant. first the staff were not very helpful and friendly. eating is overpriced for sushi train and very unauthentic I asked for a fresh sashimi cellar from the menu, and sandy continued to give me the train. I asked her about a fresh one, but she said they were all fresh. what I expected (and from previous experience in other sushi trains) is that the sashimi is on ice and different from the sushi train. they serve only lipton green tea, which is a huge alarm bell...read more
Tsukiji is a newly opened restaurant in surry hills (besides le monde,) which offers a series of Japanese cuisine, including sushi on conveyors, bento and other side dishes. the sushi is really hard, (frenched) cold and inconspicuous. the server left the doors open to ventilate the restaurant, but it was cold and dry in the last night. every moisture in the sushi rice has diffused into the environment. there is therefore a great difference between freshly ordered sushi (unagi) and the people sitting on the transporter (Egg/Lummer).
This place is new and I have been five times now, in the hope where it would improve, and the owners would further iron the wrinkles, but I start to accept if they are trying. Grief Grief The staff seems intentionally inaccurate and generally not helpful. The English language skills that are available alone sets a separation, reduces communication with pictures and show. I find myself from the arms to even be seen. Grief The food is usually okay, but everything on the conveyor belt is stone cold ... it can also be served frozen. The roasted food can also be cooked a week ago, do not disturb ... Grief The worst thing about this place is the terrible music ... especially like the same playlist of loud repeating terrible JPOP ... a truly disturbing and official soundtrack to every meal. Just play something, everything else and turn it down!
Trying this new sushi train out as I work close by - quite excited for a new sushi place (I frequent the Japanese takeaway in the Centennial Plaza precinct). I was very disappointed with the restaurant. First the staff were not very helpful and friendly. The food is overpriced for sushi train and very unauthentic. I asked for a fresh sashimi platter from the menu, and Sandy proceeded to give me the one of the train. I asked her for a fresh one, but she mentioned they are all fresh. What I expected (and from previous experience in other sushi trains) is that the sashimi is on ice and different to that on the sushi train. They only serve lipton green tea - this is a HUGEEEEE alarm bell for me. Any Japanese restaurant that doesn't serve the cold green tea in can says a lot in my books. I would prefer the take away sushi place in the plaza (much more authentic in my opinion) or any of the Japanese run sushi trains (sushi rio comes to mind as one of my favorites. Not only are their plates 3.5$ all day it is very authentic, good quality and value for money)
