Vogue Bistro - Surprise

The Vouge Bistro is a great place. It has a great selection of wine and a good lunch and dinner menu. The waiters are first-class, they know the menu well and are very attentive. It is pricey but our choice for special occasions. Best French onion soup in town.

This was my 2nd visit to Vogue Bistro. First time was better. We all ordered the filet special. Our waiter agreed mine was undercooked and took it back for additional cooking time, but still too rare. He offered a credit on the bill but it wasn't there. Service was a little slow initially and too many people at the end to take our plates away. I like this restaurant. I'll give them another try in the future. The lemon cake was yummy.

Was seated and not spoken to for about 15 to minutes before they realized there was a mixup and no server had our table so a manager waited on us. Once noticed we got drinks and food relatively quickly. Then we sat for 15 minutes after we were done eating before our server came back, we asked for the check and it was another 15 minutes before we got our check. We received the check and then it was another 10 minutes or so to process the payment. It appears they were understaffed for the evening even though it's a small place which is a shame because the food here is always outstanding. This was definitely the worst service we've had here, but it was tolerable based on how good the food and drinks were. Kudos to the bartender and kitchen.

We celebrated a birthday with an early lunch. This was our first time with the lunch menu, which had a variety of offerings. The food is top notch and having a gem like this locally is an added plus. Try it...

Vogue Bistro is our special place for birthdays. I love their special on Tuesdays of 2 for $60. It's a terrific value for a lovely meal. The staff is friendly and very nice. We will be going back in July for my birthday. There are now a lot to f choices in my city and I prefer the “neighborhood “ atmosphere to a chain restaurant.
