Jerk Shack - Surfside Beach

The backpack experience was amazing. have the southern heat I saw applied in the recreation and it was phenomenal. I love absolutely the vibes at this place, the lighting really does something that big music play, eating is amazing, everyone here is really beautiful and seems like a great team! I recommend this restaurant to all!

The food was delicious with generous portions at affordable prices. The staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be back!

This restaurant is fantastic in every way! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like part of the family as soon as we walked in. A gentleman, possibly the manager or owner, stopped by several times to chat with us and ensure we were pleased with everything, a gesture that I truly appreciated. The atmosphere here is fun, relaxed, and perfectly suited to the theme. The coconut shrimp is absolutely delicious - possibly the best in the area. And the shrimp tacos are hands down the best in town. Whether you're a visitor or a local, this place is a must-try!

Home of the 1/2 lb burgers. Locally owned, veteran operated bar and grill with a rustic, laid back feel with a large outdoor patio and tiki bar. Menu offers an assortment of burgers, wings, tacos, dogs, salads, sandwiches and more. Full service bar serves up a line of brews, mixed drinks and frozen cocktails. My Surfside Bacon Cheeseburger was a sizable, juicy patty with caramelized onions, bacon, cheddar cheese and Muscadine Wine sauce on a toasted bun. The sauce was brought on the side and wasn’t much to my liking. But the burger was. No asking where’s the beef. You will find it here. A little rare in the middle, which I prefer. My choice of side was the Island Slaw which was a chunkier, thicker sweet slaw that I couldn’t get enough of. Ryan, our server, was on his game and brought personality and punctuality. Food came quick, hot and a side of humor on his part. Enjoyable experience.

This restaurant is awesome. Food was great and the service was amazing. The bartender, waitress and I'm assuming owner all came by the table to check up on us. I love going to a place where the food is seasoned and I don't have to add salt and pepper after the fact.....Jerk Shack gets it done. They even brought out my son's soda in a wine glass so he could feel fancy with the rest of us. The bartender at one point jumped up on stage and invited my son to dance with him. Lots of fun and a great way to start out vacation.
