Seren8 - Surfers Paradise

I would only recommend eating at this restaurant when using a voucher. The food was satisfactory with no wow factor and the presentation and service were both average. The lunch menu itself was basic when using a voucher. It is a pity because we had been looking at this restaurant for somewhere to try for ages.

We visited Seren8 Restaurant Bar over 2 days, using 2 different Groupon vouchers 3 Share Plates with Cocktails for 2 Lunch Drinks for 2 . We are a family of 4 (2 adults 2 children from Perth, WA, visiting the Gold Coast, staying on Chevron Island. Man, what a find! Seren8 is a real hidden gem! We had no idea what to expect we were slightly hesitant, both because we were using Groupon vouchers that we had two 7yo children accompanying us! We needn 't have worried! We were immediately won over by the lovely, friendly staff the gorgeous Nat the delightful Roger who made us so welcome from the moment we stepped inside. Nothing was too much trouble. And Nat made our kids feel so welcome, fussing over them. It is such a pleasure to visit a restaurant that welcomes children so warmly. Thank you, Nat! You 're a star! But the best was yet to come.... The food the cocktails! Oh my goodness! SO GOOD! We chose the Toblerone the Espresso Martini cocktails huge glasses oh so DELISH! For the Share Plates, we ordered the Soft Shell Crab, the Garlic Prawn Hotpot the Salted Chilli Coconut Calamari. Our littlies chose Lemon, Lime Bitters (freshly made at the bar, not from a bottle! and the Lasagne Chicken Schnitzel from the Kids Menu. The Chef should be highly commended! The food was SPOT ON DIVINE! So fresh, generous serves, so delicious plated so appealingly. Our kids, who are probably the toughest food/restaurant critics ever, declared it, The Best! and This is my new favourite restaurant EVER! We all left that evening happy, with full bellies, completely satisfied eager to visit again soon for lunch. Our second visit actually surpassed the first, which we never thought possible! Again, Roger warmly welcomed us , much to our kids ' delight, the gorgeous Nat again fussed over them. We enjoyed a superb lunch of Steak Sandwich Garlic Prawns, topped off with Coronas lime, while The Ferrets again enjoyed their Lasagne Chicken Schnitzel and Lemon, Lime Bitters Raspberry Lemonade. The food was even more amazing perfectly cooked plated, generous serves, super fresh completely delicious! Top marks, Chef! Sadly, we only have another week here in the Gold Coast but we can definitely say we will be back visiting Seren8 again as often as possible before we leave. So, the secret 's out! Please, do yourself a favour check out this great little hidden gem of a place before the word gets out it ends up so busy that you can 't find a table! Popped in to Seren8 to grab a quick lunch before going to a business appointment. Although the restaurant was quite full the service was still quick. The gentlemen that served me was very polite and professional. I ordered the lunch BLT and it came out fast and tasted fabulous! Hit the spot. Definitely recommend.

Misleading advertising !! Purchased a Groupon voucher for $29 offering lunch with drinks for 2 people up to the value of $52. Got there and was shown the menu, you ONLY get a choice from the $10 menu and a beer or house wine each, that meant if the offer is correct, the meals came to $20 and the 2 drinks make up the $32 difference. In fact with the price of the offered menu and the drinks the deal was probably worth about $33. Asked the staff who told me for the Groupon deal the manager had just changed the menu to this particular $10 Lunch Specials and no longer the full lunch menu which would have made the deal a great offer. Apart from that the meal was very good value and the staff very nice, but nowhere near the $52 advertised. Forget the voucher and just walk in from the street. Bob Mary

We had the garlic prawns and the Beetroot roast pumpkin salad and both were delicious and complimented each other! Accompanied with a delicious Pinot Grigio from the menu was absolutely delicious. Wait staff was wonderful also. Will be back!
