The concept of a wine bar was not well executed, as we had to get up from our table to refill our own glasses. It may be suitable for after-work drinks, but not for a full dinner experience. The food was tasty, but the portions were too small and the prices were high. The restaurant is not quite fine dining, nor is it tapas. It seems to be stuck in the middle, leading to dissatisfaction among the customers.
I was browsing the menu of this restaurant on their website. We were thinking about having lunch there today until I saw the prices on the wine menu. While they have a good selection, the high prices are off-putting. For example, charging $30 per glass for a $35 bottle of wine is unreasonable. What's even more confusing is that some wines are cheaper to buy by the bottle, while others cost nearly $20 more to buy a bottle than to purchase five glasses individually. This doesn't seem like a wise decision for a place that markets itself as a wine and tapas bar. We won't be dining here anytime soon, and won't consider it until changes are made to the wine menu. It's a shame, as the Gold Coast could use more wine bars, but for now, we'll be looking elsewhere.
Beatle Beaus is a fantastic tapas bar located by the river. The view is amazing and the tapas were delicious too.
This restaurant has only been open for about 3/4 weeks, we looked on the internet at the menu which looked and sounded really good...but it was the worst restaurant we have dined at in the last few years, not a good start
