Island Delights - Surf City

Our family stops in every visit to the beach for burgers and ice cream. Great service and atmosphere with a 50's themed layout. A visit to this establishment has become a tradition for us; make it one for you too! Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10

The service at this restaurant was excellent. Our server was quick, friendly, and polite. The burgers were made fresh, so they were both hot and tasty. The orange sodas were a nostalgic touch. Despite it being 3:30 and us being the only customers, the staff was still eager to serve us. Location: Dine-in, Meal type: Lunch.

Island delights really is a delight. We got a chocolate malt shake, it was so good. The chicken salad pita was delicious, and fries with gravy was some type of comfort food I didn't know I needed lol. The staff were very friendly, the diner was kept very well clean, and everyone had smiles on their faces while exploring all of the neat items and old fashioned games. Will be returning. We have been coming to the Topsail/Surf City area for over 10 years and neither of us had ever eaten here until this weekend (I think we always thought they only served ice cream). We went on the recommendation of the sales associate at Bert's and we were VERY impressed! The decor was very kitschy and very retro ... lots of cool stuff. The food was DELICIOUS! We both had hamburgers and quite honestly this was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Fries were hot and very good. Service was fast! HIGHLY recommend. We will be back the next time we visit Surf City.
