I was there twice. The food was like that. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't so good that the service was kind of bad. When I went for the first time, there was a guy with a strong attitude that might not mean being, but he had a strong attitude. And I can see that he has no experience) And the second I went what is today. Yhe Servicer was a girl. Better attitude than the first time, but not experienced. We order soup .had to remind them to give us soup bowl and spoons. Also wait until my hot water comes. If they bring a bowl of rice, their hand is over the rice...... I was like... I'll stay calm. And I still give her good tips. I won't be back.
A Well, it's true that I never drove two hours, just to eat. But I think it's worth it. I like Peiking duck and sweet sour shrimps! So delicious?
First things first... I'm not a Chinese, but I'm a white man who knows Chinese food. I am a connoisseur of many regional Chinese cuisine and eating things most Americans have never heard of. That means it's real Chinese food. And good real Chinese cuisine too. I'll tell you what I know... If you dig Mao Po Tofu like me, that's the real deal. Excellent. Ditto for hot and acid soup. I also had the beef soup, which was quite good and generous. That was my first visit, and I definitely go back. I live in parkland, but you have to go to Sunrise or to the south for any decent Chinese. And if you get your ignorance in a bind about the service or culture / language barriers, it is also not for you. Anyone who is immersed in Chinatown or overseas knows that it is a small price to sometimes pay for truly authentic food. And actually, when I hired the hostess in conversation and my appreciation for her northeastern Chinese cuisine (and that I understand the difference) she was very nice and gracious.
Most excellent authentic North eastern (dongbei) Chinese cuisine: crispy Peking duck sliced right before your eyes served with piping hot buns, scallions and sauce. Then they returned the duck bones to the pot and it came back in a rich and robust soup! Very impressed with the quality of the food. Service was also excellent!
