Newport Beachside Resort

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were both excellent and reasonably priced. The bartender at the tiki bar was friendly and skilled at making delicious drinks. The beach atmosphere and staff made for a great experience overall. While the room did not match the picture, the proximity to the sea more than made up for it. We plan to return with our children and hope this can become a regular holiday destination.

Short review: Would I stay here again? No.I only give 4 stars because the pool and beach area is very nice!Long Review:STAFF: Front desk staff weren’t super friendly. The waitstaff at the restaurant and bar were nice and attentive.ROOM: Please be aware and view attached photos before booking. These rooms are not only outdated but are in need of some serious attention. I could tell that it was vacuumed and wiped down but the carpet was nasty, the lighting was awful, the cabinets were horrible!!!! There is NO COFFEE MAKER! There was a safe and refrigerator. NO CUPS but there was an ice bucket. There is a tv. The bathroom was okay. It needed updating. The water pressure was good. The provided soaps were nice.THE VIEW: We had a partial ocean view room the view was AMAZING! If they would have done some work to the room it would have been much better!THE POOL BAR: Very nice! Caribbean feel! Staff was friendly and attentive.POOL: Clean and warm.BEACH: Private. They provide chairs and umbrellas and have cabanas for rent.RESTAURANT: Nice and clean. GOOD FOOD!! Pretty pricey but it was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.SPA: The spa was a nice touch. We had 50 min massages. The staff was professional and friendly.This hotel has great potential. The rooms really need some attention and updating.

I was nervous reading all of these reviews, but this oceanside hotel with a beautiful pool and outdoor bar is great! My room smelled good. No peeling paint, no mold on bathroom, new fixtures. It's not a 4 star girl, but I would say much better than a Motel 6. More like a Holiday Inn Express with resort amenities. Staff very accommodating. My bed was comfortable. I had partial Beach view, and had a great potato to sit on with beautiful sunrise view.

This hotel needs Hotel Rescue. They have a good beach but the rooms we had were mold smelling, phones did not work, bathroom fixtures not working and it did not help to hear 6 guns shots outside our room at 1:am in the morning.Some of the rooms were renovated but they did a poor job. I think under new management this place has potential but the setup its basically for those people who are going to see a Time Share speech. This place is like Motel 6 with a great beach.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. I’ve been to Miami multiple times and this was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in. Let me start off with saying I booked my room through the app Hopper where in fact not a single picture looked similar to how this place looked in real life. The entrance way was run down, smelled like mildew, and very out dated. After checking in, we went to go check out the room which was a mistake to even confirm the booking in the first place. The elevator, halls, and atmosphere were very gloomy and quite honestly didn’t feel too safe. When we entered the room, we were greeted with a musty, cigarette smell, chipping paint, and a lovely cockroach in the corner. Oh and not to mention, our room was sold off as a “city view” yet our view out the main window was of a rooftop maintenance area/ parking lot. We didn’t walk out of this room, we RAN. We ended up speaking to the manager Daniel who was very professional and understanding (which tells you this isn’t the first time he’s heard these complaints before), and we left. So poorly run and maintained here, 0/10 would NOT recommend.
