We have always appreciated the clean and friendly atmosphere of the bookshop, but Kat and Jen truly went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. Despite the busy environment, they managed to keep everyone happy with their kindness, efficiency, and great spatial awareness. The coffee was also excellent. Overall, a brilliant experience!
The majority of the younger staff members at this restaurant are friendly and helpful, however, the manageress (I assume based on the way she interacts with the other staff) is not. The atmosphere is much more pleasant when she is not around, and the other staff seem happier. I used to visit this restaurant daily, but I no longer do so. Several staff members have left due to her negative attitude, leading to a decline in customers as well.
This restaurant offers fantastic coffee and delicious cookies, with very friendly staff. It is a peaceful place to relax after perusing the impressive selection of books.
This seems a nice cafe, lovely coffee, and staff were lovely, but only criticism is that the food (cakes, teacakes, cakes) is left sitting out all day. There is a small pane of glass over some of them but they are still open at the back for flies and dust. Especially the teacakes/scones are sitting there for everyone in the queue to cough and sneeze over. So if you get a scone it might have been sat out for a couple of days. They need to be in glass 'domes ' or a larger glass cabinet or fridge. The other bugbear is staff handling money then touching your food without washing hands or using gloves. Its a shame because cake was really nice but i wouldnt eat there again until they sort the food hygiene out. Coffee was great!!!
Lovely place to come for a quick brew in the midst of town. Nicely tucked away, with cosy chairs and tea teacakes it's a great place to chill out for an hour in the middle of the shopping centre....
