Tequila Tequila - Sunderland

I'd heard mixed things about Tequila Tequila I had decided it was not for me. But a lad from work was having a small gathering as a celebration. 5 of us and he wanted to go here. This last night, Saturday night. We checked the opening hours etc on Facebook and turned up at 7.30pm. Lights off and a HUGE padlock on the front door. If you close down please update your social media.. Judging by the last few reviews on here we dodged a bullet ! We had a cracking meal in an Italians near Park lane instead

I usually enjoy trying independent local restaurants and don't like to complain, but I was extremely disappointed with the food at this place. The chicken burger tasted like it was straight from a frozen packet, the bun was burnt, and the chocolate fudge cake seemed store-bought from Costco. They also had a limited drinks selection and were out of both Diet Coke and some J20 flavors. Overall, I was very disappointed and will not be returning.

I went to tequila tequila last night (12/5/19). It was busy when we arrived and waited at the please wait to be seated sign for 10 minutes. We finally sat down with no menu eventually the first waitress came over to take drink order which was only 2 cokes we waited for them for 10 minutes. Just before the cokes arrived a second girl gave us the menu which we had not even 30 seconds because as soon as the cokes turned up the menu was taken off us. We received our starter followed by main really quick but the dessert took over 45 minutes (2 hot chocolate fudge cakes). While we waited for them the waitresses (we had 3 instead of 1) kept offering other people's food to us. The waitresses kept forgetting table numbers and forgetting customers. One table of 2 women were eating their starter before we sat down but didn't get their main for over an hour as the staff forgot about them. The dessert was hard so you could tell it had been microwaved. Top it all off me and my husband had to go on their computer to find out bill as they had no idea who was sat where. All they had to do was turn computer 90 degrees the tables lined up with seating plan. Avoid at all costs. I put a review on Facebook last night and they removed it straight away they don't care

The only person who provided excellent service at the restaurant was the boy behind the bar. The waitresses took our order on time, but we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come and take our food order, even though it wasn't busy. It took 45 minutes for our starter, nachos with salsa, to arrive, and an hour for our main meal, a burrito, even though we had pre-ordered it. After finishing our drinks and plates, we waited for desserts and ordered more drinks, but no one came to clear the plates or check on our satisfaction with the food. The staff were not polite or approachable, and we were not provided with excellent service. I would never go back to Tequila Tequila. This was my first and last visit.

We went here on Easter Sunday. Not many people in. Steak was ordered . To then be told at 1430 they had no steak. Chose something else from menu. Waited around 40 mins for 4 meals. Place was deserted. Food not the best that ive had from here . Don't know if it was just because it was Easter .
