Ruchi - Sunderland

This restaurant offers a variety of dishes commonly found in the Indian subcontinent, including pooree, parathas, and curries. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. Plus, everything tastes delicious!

I have been purchasing a meal from this restaurant every Sunday night for years, so I thought it was time to write a review. The staff is friendly and polite, and the food is delicious. They always prepare it to our liking, and there is plenty for two people. The Sunday special, which includes 5 courses, is priced at £9.50, making it an excellent value. I highly recommend it.

I waited for an hour and a half for my food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was soaked in grease and the onion rings were soggy. I called to complain and was told I would receive a refund, but I am still waiting for it.

We have been using Ruchi for a few weeks now. It is probably the best takeaway Indian we have tried over the recent past. What I do like is the flavour of the food which for us cannot be beaten by other takeaways in Sunderland. I have noticed now though as we are trying the menu and going back to meals we have enjoyed that the result has not been the same. Still okay, don't get me wrong but when you have had a nice meal with a particular flavour I expect to get the same again. Not another take on that meal. Is it down to a different person making that meal, possibly but to be honest that should not be the case as there should be a recipe standard and meals be the same regardless of who is cooking.

I accidentally ordered from the wrong menu on the Just Eat app. However, they still delivered what I ordered in extra quick time. Food was fantastic, could not stop eating. Wonderful food exceptional service!!! 10/10!
