Gabriele's Italian - Sunderland

I was quite disappointed with my visit. I ordered a carbonara, expecting a traditional recipe with egg yolk, but instead received one made with cream and bacon. I also tried the porchetta panini, which tasted rather bland. The restaurant seems to rely on the fact that it's the oldest Italian establishment in the area, but that's the only accolade it seems to have. Unfortunately, there was nothing authentically Italian about the experience. Ratings: Food: 2, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 3.

Overall, I would rate the experience as follows: Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 For dinner, the price per person was between £10-20.

I always have a wonderful evening here! The food is exquisite, and the staff are fantastic. Overall, I give it 5 stars for food, 5 stars for service, and 5 stars for atmosphere.
