Palmetto Oyster House - Sumter

We eat here every time we are in Sumter. Love it!!!

Totally disappointed. Went there for raw oysters and they were disgusting. We had to send them back. Shrimp were ok tea was ok.

The crab and seasoned shrimp were delicious. However, it's best to avoid the oysters as they were served lukewarm and concerning. We had to send them back to the kitchen twice. The chicken tacos were decent but a bit bland.

Their food is always top notch. We do takeout most often and Paul and Emily at the bar are great. Great local place that isn't a chain with good food. The steamed oysters are my go-to but the swordfish is amazing also. Corn fritters with their signature dipping size are always a winner for an appetizer.

Atmosphere is great. Our service was next level, and really seemed to care about providing incredible service. 10/10
