However, there were signs on the front door and at the counter asking for patience due to the staffing situation. That aside, I visited on a Tuesday night and the place was busy, but the service was fantastic. I was craving sashimi, but didn't see anything on the deluxe plate. The waitress suggested that I could order any sushi and they would turn it into sashimi for just an additional dollar. It was a great experience, and I'm really glad I stopped by.
We ordered three plates of shrimp appetizers, but none of us received them. Of the four main dishes that were supposed to have no onions, only two servings of vegetables were shared among the plates. Additionally, our drink cups were not refilled in a timely manner. Two of our plates ended up with only five and six small shrimp each—definitely not enough for a $35 meal. To add to the night’s troubles, a child from another table got sick, and we waited ten minutes for a cleanup, during which we were not offered a new table or meal. There were also huge chunks of undercooked eggs mixed into the rice. When I asked to speak with the manager, they suggested a 25% discount for our inconveniences, despite the fact that less than 25% of our meals were correct. To cap off the evening, another table became disruptive, cursing and using vulgar language, and it took another ten minutes for them to be addressed. Even then, they returned shortly after. The manager's compensation did not match how poorly we were treated. My family has been coming here for many years, but after tonight's terrible service, subpar food, and the disruptive guests, not to mention the inadequate handling of the situation by management, we have decided we will not return unless we receive significant compensation for this dreadful experience. Do yourself a favor and dine at Yokoso across the street instead.
One of my meals was supposed to come with extra bacon, no egg, and no mushrooms, but instead, it arrived with NO EXTRA BACON, and it had both eggs and mushrooms! Another meal was also supposed to have extra bacon, and again, NO EXTRA BACON was included! We paid for the extra ingredients and didn't receive them, which completely ruined my Valentine's Day dinner. I ended up with no meal for myself despite spending a significant amount on these orders. When I tried to call and inform them about the issues after getting home, guess what? The same recording again! The next day, I called and was told that a manager would return my call, but I’m still waiting. We traveled 6.5 hours to dine at Wasabi, so this level of service is simply unacceptable. The person I spoke with yesterday assured me a manager would call me back, but I’m still waiting for that call!
The food was excellent and fast. The hibachi chef was funny. Although I’m not fan of sitting and eating food with people you don’t know, that’s how hibachi restaurants are set up and run. So if you don’t like that, don’t go. I had a really cozy feel to it and I really recommend this place. I took a picture of the food but had already started eating from it so forgive me.
They have a numerous variety of sashimi. Samurai dinner is recommended for children if they don't eat raw food. Baked oyster is enjoyable. Fish roe quail egg sushi is especially good, high quality fish roe, and a fish tank with a pond in the lobby, very special atmosphere.
