Crust Wood Fired Pizza - Summerville

Awful experience overall. Ordered online at 732pm however after 15 minutes of the system telling me the restaurant was still confirming the order I decided to call in multiple times to check… no one answered. So I decide to drive over to the restaurant to see if the orders ready.When I get there the hostess is sitting at a table rolling silverware. She comes over and when I tell her the situation she goes over to the iPad to check, and comes back to tell me the order just came through which is clearly not true. The Hostess was not checking the iPad or answering phone calls. I even checked that the phone was working by calling it inside the restaurant.To top it all off they got the order wrong for one our pizzas and one of our salads…

Crust has been my favorite Pizza since I first visited the restaurant while traveling to Charleston about 6 years ago. Yesterday however, I visited the restaurant and my flatbread was way undercooked while my pizza was actually burned. As I gazed around the restaurant, the staff was in little groups socializing with each other and that would explain my food. Because of the absolutely amazing taste and experience that I’ve always had there before, I will visit the restaurant one more time and if this is the new crust, I will have to find another woodfired pizza maker.

Food 2/5Service 1/5We ordered the Fried Risotto Balls ... They tasted like burnt oil. Fun. Then our pizza came out ... It looked great until you picked a piece up and the soggy crust was apparent. The entire pizza was sitting in moisture.The service was worse than the food. Our waitress couldn't have seemed more inconvenienced or disinterested in our table. Barely acknowledging us through our meal.Incredible. Needless to say we can cross this place off the rotation.

Pizza and lasagna were delicious! I had the chicken and bacon pizza. Baked perfectly and LOADED with fresh toppings. Service was great as well. We will definitely be back. Stayed away after a bad meal a year or so ago when they were having issues with their kitchen staff. They definitely have a great staff now.

I dined at the restaurant for the first time during my visit to Summerville, SC. Our waitress, Danielle, was absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable about the menu items. The food was delicious and truly authentic. The staff was friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.
