Although we were too full from our meal to try the tempting desserts, we highly recommend The Flying Apron!
The Flying Apron offers a charming dining space with a cozy cafe stocked with books, along with a small shop selling preserves, vegetables, and take-home meals. Their weekend brunch menu features a variety of options including pancakes, steak, fish cakes, chowder, burgers, eggs benedict, and more. During our visit for dessert tasting week, we enjoyed sampling smaller portions of their dessert menu at a great price (3 for $10 or 5 for $15). The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. Don't forget to check out the beautiful paintings by local artists for sale in the washroom area. It's recommended to make a reservation before visiting, especially on weekends when it can get busy. Keep an eye on their social media for special events like dessert tasting week and new menu items. Parking is available near the front door and across the street in a gravel lot.
Had a great brunch on Sunday. Great coffee, great food and service. Their deserts are amazing!
What a find!!!! Great food, second to none!! And locally sourced, well done. I have not had halibut for some time, pleasantly surprise to see it on the menu for a very reasonable price. Over the top presentation and taste. They also have a nice shop for some of their favourites to take home. We bought the BBQ sauce. Worth the short drive from Halifax. We will be back!!!!
I went for Christmas Eve brunch with my family. The food was amazing as it is always plus the food is affordable. The owners and staff are the best . Love to eat here.
