Even though I had seen some negative reviews, I still decided to give the poutine at Rex's a try. I have had poutine in Quebec City before, so I had high expectations. The fries were good, but I was disappointed to find that the cheese curds were likely just chunks of mozzarella. The gravy had a pale color and tasted more like canned beef gravy, with a slight peppery kick. The small portion size was served in a soup bowl. I think next time I visit, I might try the smoked meat poutine or the Reuben instead. The restaurant has a nice little patio, but I would recommend skipping the poutine.

Just had the best Reuben sandwich and fries on a cute little patio in downtown Summerland. This place is only open from 11 am until 3 pm so plan accordingly if you want to try it.
