Mangrove Mamas - SUMMERLAND KEY

I've been visiting this restaurant for over 15 years and have often gone out of my way to enjoy their key lime pie with blueberry. However, this year my experience was disappointing. The service, food, and unfortunately the key lime pie were all subpar. They didn't have the blueberry topping, and the regular key lime pie wasn't good either. I won't be returning in the future.

I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience. We are a family of six (four adults, a teenager, and a seven-year-old). We ordered our meals at the same time, but the food was served so unevenly that half of us finished eating long before the other half even received their meals. It was quite frustrating. I won't even get into the minor issues we encountered.

We visited this restaurant for dinner, and it provided the ideal Keys atmosphere we were hoping for. The food was delicious, the ambiance was just right, and the live music was fantastic.

Fish tacos were great. Chicken sandwich nothing special. Live music was a plus. Getting eaten alive 2nd night in the Keys and still have tons on bites sucked! Douse in bug spray before you go if you’re sensitive to that. My daughters hardly had any bites guess I’m too sweet ; Overall I’d recommend for a casual night out.

Relaxing keys/island environment with friendly service. Good food and drinks. Very pleasant overall experience.
