Hostaria Dell'arco - SULMONA

Located just near the Porta San’Antonio, you will get a true sense of the local food of Sulmona. Most notably, you can choose from a buffet offering a variety of local dishes ranging from various treatments of zucchini, aubergines, red peppers, mushrooms and minced veal balls, as appetisers. For our primi piatti, we had the pecorino and spinach-filled ravioli served with a tomato ragu and for our secondi piatti, we had the roasted lamb such was essentially lamb cutlets. This was accompanied by a 2018 Villa Gemma Collins Teatine Igt Bianca from Masciarelli from Chieti, which was light and fresh and went well with our meal. The service was good and the restaurant was essentially full of locals. A great start to our visit to Sulmona!

Enjoyed lunch here and sampled their homemade paperdelle pasta, pork chops and local roasted veggies. Everything was outstanding and service was wonderful. We would definitely return the next time we're in Sulmona.

Traditional inn serving tasty, home cooked food. We are happy to wait between courses as we know good food comes to those that wait but even for Italy the distance between courses was quite long. This was last night of the Festival, so place was packed meaning the few staff on duty were pulled this way and that. Nevertheless, the food was very tasty.

We popped in for dinner after a long day of sightseeing in Sulmona and we were immediately welcomed by staff who sat us at the table of our choice. Our server was quick to greet us and was friendly and knowledgeable. She assisted us with detailed information concerning the menu and made recommenations as to possible food choices. After placing our order our food was delivered quickly and was served hot and delicious. The entire atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the service overall was excellent.

We were fortunate to be able to get a table on a walk-in basis, even with a wait of about 30 minutes. The fact that the restaurant was filled with local guests was a good sign, and they were there for a good reason. Our pasta and ravioli dishes were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was genuine and fun. Excellent value also.
