This rarely happens where I feel the need to write about it online, but it was that bad! However, with that being said, the entertainment section here was super fun and there was a ton of different games to choose from. We had a great time nonetheless. The 1 star review was for the waitress we had that night. It was terrible service. She was apathetic, brought our food and forgot to bring sauces which i needed for my meal before i could eat it (and why i asked for them when i ordered the food). We asked for them 2 other times and got them 25 minutes later finally after the second time asking. I was a waitress at one point in my life so I understand multiple things could have happened here in this scenario...but it was her attitude ultimately that was the worst part. That and she never once, beyond dropping the sauces off (way late) to check on us again and was kind of dismissive and rude when we did have to ask her for anything. Also we asked for a $100 card so our son could start playing games and she never brought it. We asked for this 3 times in the 1 and half hours we sat there which is a ridiculous amount of time for some burger and fries meal. In that time I watched her come and go 7-8 times to the table directly across from us. It was super frustrating and I wouldn't recommend this locations restaurant section at all due to this experience.
In-depth review as a gamer. I went with my wife and only played the co-op games with 135 credits (CR , plus the card fee at $28 with 15 bonus CR. 150 CR at 8 CR avg. per game equals 8.5 co-op plays within 40 minutes. Difficulty: They need to nerf the settings a bit, becuase these games are set way too difficult, when you just want to enjoy it. Each game should last 2.5 minutes, that would be great with the high cost, because you'll blow through your CR quickly. Game Reviews with credit and time estimates for more detail. Halo (9.2 CR 1.5 min. : Beautiful game, but no dodging or personal energy shields. You'll just keep getting hit till your dead. Elites have high shields, takes a bit to kill one. If you play together on one side, don't worry about the other side, you take no damage from the other screen, fyi! Its ok, but needs more life or less damage setting. Ghostbusters (7.5 CR 1 min. : This machine ate my credits so one person only played it, its not a game but a timed ghost catching game for tickets. No action in it, the marshmellow man ends your game instantly. Waste of time. The gun was stiff and terrible to hold. Don't play it! Walking Dead (7.5 CR 2 min. : Someone left the game and we just freeloaded, but surprisingly, you take little damage per hit. Reload is annoying, as you pull back the crossbow. But its a headshot game, if you cant aim, its going to be hard. Its ok to play. Jurassic Park (7.5 CR 3 min. : Great gun control and accuracy. They should turn off that civilian damage or lower it, becuase we weren't killed by dino's, but kept hitting the NPC's, the game constantly throws them at you. Good game, but NPC's damaged has to be tuned down. Luigi's Mansion (7.5 CR 25 sec. : Terrible concept, you have to flash them with a light then attack, its difficult when you can only attack so many at one time. 3 hits and your out. 3 ghosts on the screen and we couldn't handle it without getting hit. Players need more health! House of the Dead (7.5 CR 10
I've been to several Dave and Busters locations and this one is among the top! Very clean, plenty of space between the games without making it seem empty. Lots of new games and of course the classics. Not a lot of crane machines and no skee ball, but everything else is there. Wednesday nights are half off and not as crowded as other places, so definitely a big bonus. Somewhat slow service at the bar, and a small redemption area, but no major complaints.
Had some time to kill so wife and I got some cards. We each got $25 cards and gave us just a bit over 300 points, most games were in the 6- to 8 range of points. I only noticed one game that was out of order and we were able to get on a lot of two player games without any wait or only waiting on minute or two. Place was clean and not too crowded. We didn't focus much on tickets but did end up with about 400 and was able to get a wine bottle topper
Had fun playing games etc. Menu has been condensed... likely an effect of the pandemic. Didnt see much going g on as far as cleaning etc. But they had a few of the large sanitizer pumps out for people to use.
