I recommend no order to go, it is always a mess and for what reason the lady barkeeper hates to go the big bag of chips and only gives the small bag of chips about the size of your average school lunch brown bag and then makes a cushion when you ask for another. I will say my assessment went to a star, as the service seems to be a bit better when we became regular. We are surprised that it is no longer busy here, but we are also happy how it is not crowded.
Drove by and decided to try. The food was good and the waitresses were attentive. It actually looks small the the outside but is fairly large inside with a full bar and TVs
Finally got to check out Ruthie?s. Went at 5:30 on Saturday hoping we?d get there before the busier time. About half full with a good crowd at the bar watching the Astros. Ordered Banderas platter and my husband had chicken enchiladas. Didn?t feel like drinks so just got water which tasted straight from the tap with a slice of lemon which helped to cover the tap water flavor. The food was good and served quickly and hot. My platter included carnitas which was really REALLY tasty. Rest of the meal was good but nothing extraordinary. Next time I?ll try the fabled fajitas and hope it meets the reviews others gave reported. All in all a decent basic texmex experience and happy to have them in the neighborhood!
We went to this place and it always seems full. The parillada for two. (Not sure whether this is the name in the menu), but it is under specialty. Shrimp, baby back ribs, carnitas, beef and chicken fajitas. Get back for more!
Great place to eat outside, the waitress who took my order was very cool made me feel at home.
